Sam’s experience in exhibition design began at Te Papa in the role of lead designer for two of the New Zealand history exhibitions while also heading the museum wide graphics project for opening. Sam was a founding director of 3D Creative Design, based in Wellington, and was instrumental in the design and delivery of projects such as Puke Ariki, Plimmers Ark, Arataki Visitor Centre, Hukawai Visitor and Te Puia. Other projects include Wigram Air Force Museum (2008) and Aotea Utanganui Museum of South Taranaki (2011).
In addition to spatial design, Sam is a highly skilled film-maker and visual effects artist specializing in cg environments.
